Says constituent services and proper funding of public schools will be his top priorities for Stoneham and Winchester
Torres, Scammon & Day founding partner Michael Day (Democrat) is running for Massachusetts State Representative of the 31st Middlesex District (Stoneham and Winchester). Day, a Stoneham resident and father of three, said “After speaking with, and receiving support from my family, neighbors, friends, and leaders in both communities, I am excited to begin this campaign. I want to give back to these neighborhoods that have given me so much, and I want to make sure that others receive the same opportunities to succeed that I have had.”
An experienced attorney, Day represents clients in all manner of civil and criminal matters, from complex business disputes to defamation claims to employment counseling and litigation. His law partners, Kristen Scammon and Steven Torres, said, “We are pleased to support Mike in his bid for State Representative. With more than a decade of experience representing individuals and businesses in Massachusetts state and federal courts, Mike is well positioned to advocate for the residents and businesses of Stoneham and Winchester.”
Day is the first candidate to announce for the open State Representative seat that Jason Lewis will be vacating. Lewis was elected to the State Senate on Tuesday, April 1, and the primary election for his replacement will be held on September 9, with the general election taking place on November 4.
