Congratulations to Steven J. Torres, Kristen Schuler Scammon and Michael S. Day on being named to the 2016 Massachusetts Super Lawyers and Rising Star lists.
Steven J. Torres was named to the 2016 Massachusetts Super Lawyers list in the area of 
Business Litigation for the third consecutive year.
Steven represents companies and individuals in business disputes and litigation. He has more than fifteen years of experience representing clients through all phases of the litigation process, including jury trials, appellate practice, arbitrations, mediations and administrative proceedings. Much of his practice involves litigating complex commercial disputes that often include breaches of contract, shareholder rights, breaches of fiduciary duty, fraud, unfair business practices, insurance coverage issues, restrictive covenants in employment agreements, the Uniform Commercial Code, construction and products liability. Steven also serves as President of the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) Society’s Boston Chapter.
Kristen Schuler Scammon was named to the 2016 Massachusetts Super Lawyers list in the 
area of Criminal Defense: White Collar. This is the fourth year Kristen has been named to the list.
Kristen represents individuals and businesses in white collar litigation, including false claims, securities fraud, antitrust violations, campaign finance violations, public corruption, mail fraud and tax evasion. She also represents clients in business litigation matters, including breach of contract, consumer protection, Civil RICO and license disputes. Kristen practices in both federal and state trial courts in Massachusetts, the First Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as at mediations and arbitrations. She is a member of the Women’s White Collar Defense Association, and the Massachusetts Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Kristen also serves on TargetCancer Foundation, Inc.’s Board of Directors.
Michael S. Day was named to the 2016 Massachusetts Super Lawyers list in the area of 
Business Litigation. This is the third consecutive year Michael has been named to the list.
Michael represents individuals and businesses in commercial litigation and criminal matters, from complex business disputes to defamation claims to employment counseling and litigation. He has more than a decade of experience representing clients in federal and state trial courts, before government tribunals and at various arbitrations and mediations across the country. Michael is also committed to helping survivors of domestic violence. He has been actively involved in assisting individuals and families with legal representation as well as volunteering on non-profit boards and professional committees.
